I’m not usually one for modern architecture, but I love the colourful glass on this University building.
Do you ever get the distinct feeling that you’re being watched?
“A large drop of sun lingered on the horizon and then dripped over and was gone, and the sky was brilliant over the spot where it had gone, and a torn cloud, like a bloody rag, hung over the spot of its going. And dusk crept over the sky from the eastern horizon, and darkness crept over the land from the east.” ― John Steinbeck, The Grapes of Wrath
Phew, I’ve finally caught up! These snaps were taken as I followed different routes around the city and to the bay in the sunshine. Marvellous.
Okay, so I’ve failed the photo-a-day challenge by missing two days. It’s not that I didn’t take pictures – I just didn’t think they were any good. I’m also running a day late (yes, terrible, I know), but enough of that. Here is yesterday’s photo. It tells a great story of coming to the rescue of two Japanese travellers who got their car stuck on a curb.
Saying goodbye to old friends is never easy – especially a trusty old pair of sneakers you’ve worn and loved for over ten years… These bad boys have travelled the world with me, and after a recent six month trip around Asia and Japan, they’re beyond repair. So long, old sneakers.
